Part I
An annotated bibliography is a bibliography with a summary of the article or book. It is
particularly helpful as a means of assessing the relevance of an article or book. Each
selection in an annotated bibliography is called an “annotation.”
The Task:
For this assignment, you will write 4 annotations. Each annotation will be two
paragraphs:
-The first paragraph will briefly describe the content of the article – what was the
article about? Be sure to summarize the ENTIRE source and not only one section. A
strong summary would also include the author’s most compelling argument(s) and
the best evidence offered as support for the author’s points.
-The second paragraph should describe the underlying values in the source. To do
this, you may need to describe the viewpoint of the author, and provide examples to
show how this viewpoint supports a certain value. If the author presents viewpoints
of other people or groups, briefly describe those viewpoints and explain what values
are underlying each. A strong summary would explain if the author presented the
issue accurately and fairly or distorted facts and arguments to support a certain
viewpoint. (100 points). This will be presented in a goo
